This mulitfunctional room is located in the Áras Cairnes building.  This room has two Aver tracking cameras and one ceiling suspended echo-cancelling boundary microphone for the purpose of facilitating Hybrid Meetings / Seminars. This can be achieved using the provided PC and some of the preinstalled University of Galway ISS supported video conferencing applications. e.g. Zoom or MS Teams.

Lecture Hall 1 is a tiered lecture theatre located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 105 seats.

Lecture Hall 2 is a lecture room located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 40 seats.

CA115 is a  classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 20 seats

116a is a large classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 60 seats

The MBA Suite is a large classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 48 seats

Room 118 is a large classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 60 seats

Room 001 is a classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 30 seats

Room 002 is a classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 30 seats

Room 003 is a classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 30 seats

Room 004 is a classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 30 seats

Room 005 is a classroom located in the Cairnes building which has a capacity of 30 seats

Room 240 is a computer lab located in the Cairnes building.  

Room 241 is a computer lab located in the Cairnes building.  

Room 243 is a classroom located in the Cairnes building.  It has a large screen at the top of the room for teaching and 6 TVs around the room each connected to its own controller and av connections for group work.

The state-of-the art Moot Courtroom was designed to replicate the experience of a real court hearing for students. It features a witness stand, judges bench, jury box, and senior counsel tables all made out of natural oak. The Moot Courtroom was designed primarily for Mooting modules and competitions.

Two large AV screens inputted into a tall solid unit allow for activities including hybrid video conference communication, as well as traditional single classroom instruction. The technology was designed to be a flexible AV system switching between several sources, including HD cameras and distribution to several display devices in the room. AV and control signals were extended between AV equipment at the defence and prosecution tables, lectern, judge’s bench, witness stand, and jury box.
