  • Select "ON" on the controller.
  • Select"LAPTOP"from the controller
  • Plug laptop into HDMI cable and USB cable to connect camera, microphone and speakers.

How to select the correct Camera, Microphone, and Speaker while using this PC for Hybrid Meetings:

  • Please double click on the application you wish to use. i.e. MS Teams or Zoom and login using your credentials.
  • Once you have logged into the application you wish to use, ensure that you select the correct, camera, microphone and the speaker within the application’s Audio  Video settings.
  • Select"Sennheiser TC Bar S Speaker (Sennheiser TC Bar TC Bar S)"as yourcameraif using the room in a meeting environment.
  • Select "Sennheiser TC Bar S Speaker (Sennheiser TC Bar TC Bar S)" as your microphone.
  • Select"PL8612U (HD Audio Driver for Display Audio)"as yourspeaker.  (Note you can adjust the TV volume using the volume button on the wall controller).
  • Select"OFF"on controller when finished to power off screen.

BLE1002 is a multifunctional room located in Block E that can be used for teaching and hybrid calls.  This room has a projector on the main wall and a 85" TV on side wall with two HD tracking cameras and two ceiling suspended microphones to facilitate hybrid calls.

  • Press "PRESS HERE TO START" Button on Controller to turn on projector.
  • Select "COMPUTER INPUT" when using the PC. When you move the mouse the PC should wake up, if not please press the Power button on the PC to turn on.
  • Login to the provided PC using your University of Galway campus account:
  •        Staff: login using staffid (e.g0123456s) and associated password
  • From the PC desktop, please double click to the application you wish to use. i.e. MS Teams or Zoom. When signing in to Teams or Zoom please use login [email protected]and associated password.
  • Ensure that you select the correct, camera, microphone and the speaker within the application’s Audio  Video settings.
  • How to select the correct Camera, Microphone, and Speaker while using this PC for Hybrid Meetings:
  • Select "AVER MT300N "as your camera. You can then select the correct Camera Setting from the Touchpanel.
  • Select “AVER MT300N”as your microphone.
  • Select “Extron HDMI (Intel (R)Dispplay Audio)”as your speaker.

TURN ON TV ON SIDEWALL

  • Select "POWER ON" to turn on the TV on e sidewall and display content that is on projector.

Audio Settings

  • "FRONT MUTE OFF" - This setting unmutes the front ceiling microphone and should give a green indicator light that it is active.
  • "REAR MUTE OFF" - This setting unmutes the rear ceiling microphone and should give a green indicator light that it is active.

Camera Operation

There are 6 different profiles that can be chosen from the Camera Operation section. The user can change the camera settings and turn on/off camera tracking in the Lecturer Camera using the different profiles under "Camera Operation";

  • Select "FIXED SPEAKER" for Fixed Camera shot on Speaker / Presenter only.
  • Select "FIXED AUDIENCE" for Fixed Audience shot.
  • Select "TRACK SPEAKER 1"
  • Select "TRACK SPEAKER 2" for Fixed Audience. This is a wide fixed shot of audience.
  • Select "TRACK SPEAKER & AUDIENCE" For Presenter / Audience Tracking for Presenter / Audience tracking. This will change between Presenter tracking and audience questions automatically.

SHUTDOWN

Press "SHUTDOWN" and log off the PC to shut down.

  • Please press"SHUTDOWN"on controller and"LOG OFF"computer when finished.
