Meeting Room 1 (MR1) is located in the Áras Ui Chathail Building and has a capacity of 610 seats. This meeting room has one Aver tracking camera and a ceiling suspended echo-cancelling boundary microphone for the purpose of facilitating Hybrid Meetings. This can be achieved using the USB-C cable at the top of the table and the University of Galway ISS supported video conferencing applications. e.g. Zoom or MS Teams.

USB-C cable at the top of the table is for local Presentations and Hybrid Calls. HDMI cable at the back to the table is for local presentations only.
1. Press "Press anywhere to begin"on Controller to turn on screen.
2. Select "USB-C" when using the Hybrid equipment. (Camera, microphones). Connect to USB-C cable at the top of table for Hybrid calls. HDMI cable is for local presentation only.
3. Enter the chosen application for your Hybrid call, Zoom Teams etc.
Ensure that you select the correct, camera, microphone and the speaker within the application’s Audio & Video settings.
How to select the correct Camera, Microphone, and Speaker while using this PC for Hybrid Meetings:
Select "AVER CAM570" as your camera. This camera is set to frame grouping and will adjust to size of group in the room.
Select “Dante USB I/O Module” as your microphone.
Select "PL6560U (Display Port)" as your speaker.
How to turn off Microphone and Camera Tracking:
1. By pressing the "Mute Mic" button the microphone will be muted and will display a red on the ceiling.
2. Camera tracking can be turned On or OFF here.
Please make sure to press "System Off" when finished.
