Referring a Case Involving Your Student (AIAs)
According to the policy, AIAs should not conduct a Courageous Conversation with their own students. Report the case and assign it to another AIA (after conferring with AIO and confirming AIA availability).
Steps
- Report the suspected intentional misconduct via the public reporting form (select your Unit and complete the form).
- After submission, open the case within the AMR and select Other Actions > Assign Case.
- Choose Staff Members, search for the appropriate AIA, and select their name.
- Add a note (e.g., “Referring a case involving my own student”).
- Click Submit. The assigned AIA will manage the case and may consult you (as reporting staff) regarding the outcome.
