Referring a Case Involving Your Student (AIAs)

According to the policy, AIAs should not conduct a Courageous Conversation with their own students. Report the case and assign it to another AIA (after conferring with AIO and confirming AIA availability).

Steps

  1. Report the suspected intentional misconduct via the public reporting form (select your Unit and complete the form).
  2. After submission, open the case within the AMR and select Other Actions > Assign Case.
  3. Choose Staff Members, search for the appropriate AIA, and select their name.
  1. Add a note (e.g., “Referring a case involving my own student”).
  2. Click Submit. The assigned AIA will manage the case and may consult you (as reporting staff) regarding the outcome.
