Options following a Courageous Conversation

Record the outcome of the scheduled meeting or the reason it did not occur, then proceed per policy and the intentional case flowchart.

Record non-occurrence (if needed)

  1. Select Record Non-Occurrence of Meeting.
  2. Tick the student’s name and choose a reason (e.g., no response within five working days, did not attend, admitted via email, declined, resolved at teaching-staff stage, or other).
  3. Add a brief summary in Summary Explanation (e.g., paste a student admission email).
  1. Click Submit.

Proceeding after the meeting

  • If the student admits misconduct → proceed to Finalise Decision.
  • If the student does not respond within five working days → proceed to Finalise Decision.
  • If the student does not admit misconduct and you still suspect misconduct → Refer to AIO.
