Using the Vevox PowerPoint integration
This article will walk you through the steps to use the Vevox add-on for PowerPoint. Please note, if your Office is out of date (2016), you will need to update it - instructions available below.
Office provides for instructions on how to verify your version of office - note, instructions differ if you are using a Windows device or a Mac device.
If you do need to update Office, ISS recommends downloading Microsoft365. Follow the steps below to do so:
- Navigate to the Office apps page - available at this link.
- Click the download icon at top right
3. This will take you to your account. Click the Install Office button.
4. OfficeSetup.exe will download. Once the download has completed, click to open it.
5. If you have Office 2016 or 2019, you will likely receive the We found a problem pop-up, and Office Setup will not run.

6. If you did not receive this, skip to the next step. If you did, navigate to the windows search bar. Type 'add or remove programs' in the search tool and select the option when it appears.
7. In this application, search 'office' and find Office 2016 Professional (or 2019).
8. Click 'uninstall' (may require 2 clicks). It will ask if you are sure: click yes.
9. Wait until it uninstalls. Then, return to the downloaded Office Setup file and open it again.
10) Wait while Microsoft365 installs.

Step 2: Install Vevox add-on to PowerPoint
The video below is a guide from Vevox that demonstrates how to access the add-on within PowerPoint, log in (see note below), add polls, run them, and adjust design.
Note: the video shows the user logging in by typing an email address and password. Our institution uses our Microsoft accounts to link with Vevox, so log in by clicking Log in with Microsoft instead of typing in your email address.
For more information on the difference between using Vevox on the web (Present View) and as an add-in to Powerpoint, visit Vevox's site at this link, which provides a comparison of the features in a table.
